As deputy city manager for the City of Doral in 2020, I was responsible for assisting the city manager in the response, mitigation and administration of emergency federal relief programs. I took the lead on operating many projects, including:
Launching the first food drives in Miami that provided food for thousands of residents
Administering and disbursing $1.4 million in CARES Act funding to businesses and residents by December 2020
Setting up one of the first vaccination sites in Miami Dade County outside a hospital setting

Food Distributions
With the support of the council and city manager, in early 2020, I quickly organized free food distributions as our community shut down due to COVID-19. It required a huge team effort to simultaneously keep Government Center open and rely on city staff and police, yet over 3,500 families received much needed help.
